Ksenia Kazakova has been a partner with Five Stones Consulting since its creation. She heads the Real Estate Practice and also advises on general corporate and commercial matters, legal management consulting, as well as mergers and acquisitions.

Ms. Kazakova has extensive experience in providing legal support to international and local companies on a wide range of real estate matters, such as:

  • Acquisitions/disposals of real property in Russia, both through direct purchase of assets and by way of secured offshore corporate purchases (including transaction structuring);
  • Lease of real property, both from the landlord’s and the tenant’s perspective;
  • Property/asset management;
  • Development and construction projects, including greenfield and brownfield projects;
  • Structuring investment into Russian assets;
  • Property financing.

In addition, Ms. Kazakova represents the clients’ interests during negotiating and entering into share purchase agreements, shareholders agreements, joint venture agreements, loan agreements, pledges, guarantees, and other contracts relating to the companies’ commercial activity.

Ms. Kazakova started her legal practice in 1998 after graduating, with honors, from the Moscow State Law Academy.

Prior to joining Five Stones Consulting, Ms. Kazakova was a Head of the Real Estate Practice in Dewey&LeBoeuf and worked with several other international law firms and professional advisors, including Linklaters, CMS Cameron McKenna, Ernst&Young, and Arthur Andersen. She also served as a Head of Legal in the Moscow office of Jones Lang LaSalle responsible for Russia and CIS.

She is a native Russian speaker and speaks fluent English.
